I sculpted this Beaded Ammonite
brooch in wax. Then I placed a rose sapphire in the sculpture to
serve as an eye. W ith the rose sapphire in place, I cast it in sterling
silver using the lost wax casting technique. It measures approximately
31 mm (1 1/4") across, and weighs 8.7 grams.
